Product Description
GP083® is a specialty primer for glass surfaces. GP083® enhances glass surface properties on a molecular level to promote permanent bonding to most urethane based adhesives, self adhesives, paints, and resins. *note:this product is not guaranteed and should be first tested for your application. GP083® is applied to glass surfaces by spray bottle spraying and paper towel wipe down/wipe off. GP083® leaves an invisible molecular altering primer coating on the glass surface that is visually undetectable. GP083® is used for various specialty applications for a multitude of industries. GP083® does not meet or exceed ASTM standards for architectural spandrel glass coatings, and should not be used as a professional alternative to GPPP083® glass coatings for architectural back painted glass applications. GP083® is available in 1 quart (0.95L).(32fl oz)
Use Limitations
-Only apply when air temperature is above 40ºF (4ºC) and glass
-surface temperature is at least 5ºF (3ºC) above the dew point.
Glass Surface Cleaning:
Thoroughly spray/saturate glass surface with 70/30 isopropyl rubbing alcohol and then scrub the entire glass surface with #000 or #0000 steel wool. This ensures all possible impurities that could be impregnated into the glass surface have been removed.Next, clean glass surface with the same alcohol and new paper towels until dry (do not use lint free paper towels). Make sure glass has a squeaky clean feel/sound to the surface while being wiped dry.

Molecular Activator For Glass Surface Coating (GP083®)
Glassprimer™ GP083® Glass Surface molecular activator/Primer for UV Inkjet Printing, urethane based coatings and adhesives is scientifically formulated to actively transform the micro-structure of glass surfaces to create permanent bonding. This is achieved through the use of nanoscale materials, allowing bonding on virtually every type of glass surface. The GP083® molecular activator is meant to be used to pre-treat glass surfaces before UV inkjet printing, urethane based specialty coatings, adhesives, resins etc are applied – this treatment enables a superior nano-fusion to the glass surface that will resist de-lamination and damage. Even though this method will not meet ASTM standards required for architectural spandrel glass coatings like Glassprimer™ paints do, it is still a great bonding solution in many aspects. GP083® is industry standard among UV inkjet glass printers, manufactures and individuals who coat glass where ASTM certified architectural glass coating bond strength is not essential; the activator is perfect to use with various locally available urethane products and other coatings. GP083® has a broad use with assisting in superior adhesion for UV inkjet glass printing, specialized self-adhesive applications and other applications where creating a more permanent bond with glass is essential.

This video shows all the steps to using Glassprimer™ GP083® molecular activator
- Step 1. Before applying GP083® molecular activator, prepare the glass surface that will be treated by spraying it with iso rubbing alcohol and scrubbing it with #000 or #0000 steel wool. Afterward, dry the glass surface with rubbing alcohol and paper towels.
- Step 2. Next, spray GP083® on the surface you have just cleaned and wipe it off with paper towels after 10 seconds.
- Step 3. You can begin UV inkjet printing and/or use your desired urethane coating, adhesive etc.. Within 30 minutes of treating glass with the GP083® molecular activator.
